Taza Kazakhstan
The Concept for the Development of Environmental Culture “Taza Kazakhstan” for 2024–2029 was officially approved by Resolution No. 910 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 31, 2024.
The concept was initiated on the instruction of President K. Zh. Tokayev. The development was overseen by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan; the implementation also involves the Ministries of Culture and Information, Education, Science and Higher Education, Energy, Industry, Water Resources, as well as local executive bodies.
The main goal is to develop an environmental culture, which includes:
Environmental thinking and responsible behavior — creating incentives for an eco-friendly lifestyle and encouraging environmentally responsible actions.
Environmental education and awareness — increasing the level of knowledge and engagement of citizens, especially students.
Development of infrastructure for waste segregation, recycling, greening, and fostering a “zero tolerance” approach to environmental pollution.
